On August 17, 1889, Allen received patent number 408,681 for his design of a sled that had laterally bending runners, which allowed it to be steered, and the Flexible Flyer was born. This 1950’s model is 56″ Long, 13″ wide and handle is 20″ wide. The marking on the back says M #14 Yankee Clipper. In used condition with a broken piece with tape shown in the pictures. Sold as is. Great collector’s item. Local pick up only. Get an early jump on your Christmas display.
